New Patient Health Check  & Routine testing

A comprehensive health assessment from one of our trained nurses.

When registering with the practice, all new patients have a routine health check including a medical history, height, blood pressure, weight, and urine tests.

We advise annual checks after the age of 75, and health promotion consultations for if over the age of 50.

A cervical smear test is advised for women 25-65 to screen for cervical cancer from a nurse or doctor every 3-5 years.

Mammograms are recommended every 3 years for the detection of breast cancer once over 50.

All babies/children should have routine medical examinations at 6-8 weeks, 6-8 months, 18-24 months and 3-5 years arranged by the health visitor.



Maternity care

Maternity management in conjunction with local hospitals’ Obstetric Units.



Baby care

Routine vaccinations and 8 week checks available in our doctor and nurse joint clinics.



Family planning clinics

We provide oral contraception services. Implants and coils are managed by the local family planning clinic.

Antenatal care – shared between the Midwife, GP and local NHS hospital services.


Baby Clinic

See our practice nurse who runs the baby clinic. Our practice nurse offers immunizations. Weighing and developmental checks available with the GP.

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)

Prescriptions for taking medication abroad

Vaccination certificates
